As a Webmaster, I would prefer to Train myself in Networking
IT has always attracted me. When I was at the 8th Grade, I first used the computer at my uncle’s house and since then, I have always wanted to get to know IT in a better way. After I completed my higher secondary (in 2000), I decided to join a IT course. Due to the rapid growth of IT industry and begin to find the most appropriate part of information technology.
I thought that the way IT is expanding its area of work soon there will be IT everywhere with one thing common, Internet. So, there were two options for me. One was working with network hardware and remain in the back-end and the other was the software like server management etc. I choose the latter for I thought that it could be more interesting than managing networks.
However, time has changed. My training of a Web Master was good enough for me to get to a new professional arena and as information technology is rapidly changing everyday (or more accurately, every moment) it has become necessary to remain up-to-date with the new grown threads of IT or following the existing things. Further training on IT has become necessary for the best possible career development.
As a web master, I am personally interested to take a training. TO be more specific, I would like to train myself in networking technologies so that both network software and hardware remain in my grip. Many prospective institutions offer training on networking technologies. Cisco, one of the market leaders of networking technologies offers quite a good number of training. Cisco Systems’ CCNA is one of the most widely accepted certifications in the networking sector. Though CCNA is an advanced course, it trains in the essential things like installing, configuring, operating, and troubleshooting medium-size networks which also include implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. An insight of various networking protocols are also offered.
I also found several other courses interesting. These courses, also known as “Specialist” courses, offer a more detailed course curriculum on a specific area of networking like security or IP communications etc. A range of network security certifications are available for professionals and organizations. Organizations that implemented Cisco Integrated Network Security Solutions in their offices, rely on professionals with network security certification. This is because only a trained professional can maintain and troubleshoot networks skillfully.
Another thing that attracted me in Cisco certification is that many of it’s courses are available in both instructor-led and live e-learning lab-based formats with a bunch varied options and there are a lot of authorized training centers available around the world. Soon, it seems to me, I should take such a kind of professional training and definitely enjoy a better professional life.
