Biogas : Helping the tech to Go Green

Good News for the Environment. As its natural resources are weaning at a high rate, it is predicted that within the next century there will be an acute scarcity of Natural Resources like Natual Gas.

Unlike Natural Gas that contains about 97% methane, Biogas contains about 60 percent methane and 40 percent carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide in biogas can be prcoessed and filtered to add methane to the gas which dramatically makes the biogas 99% full of biomethane. The great reduction of carbon dioxide it the added benefit along with the econimical production and transportation across a long distance.

Though there are certain limitations in using biogas, it is being implemented in many countries who are gradually trying to go more green for the environment, especially some European countries are really striving for achieveing the green standards. The hopeful news is that the biggest biogas plant in the world will go into operation in eastern Germany, possibly on the first quarter of 2009. It is going to join the national gas grid directly. Lets hope that the biogas trend keeps up with giving the environment a better chance to save the human race.
