To make your pages more easily accessible by the search engine’s crawler or spider, you have to make sure that you have optimized the pages for your target keywords upon searching which your pages will be found. Developing an optimized web page needs much research on the contents of your web pages.
It is important to remember that if you optimize the web pages for some keywords and put irrelevant content in your pages, your site will rank lower in search engines and you will stay far behind the search result links.
However, to optimize your web pages you must, first, research the target keywords for your contents. For example you have a website where you want to sell ‘used cars’. Some possible keywords for your site can be ‘used car’, ‘ used cars’, ‘second hand cars’ etc. But somebody might search ‘buy used car’. So, you should include all these plus other relevant keywords as your web pages keywords. To make your page more accessible, your target Keywords must be more than two words because a single word like ‘car’ will match millions of web pages where your site’s link may lost in the crowd. You have to make sure your keywords and contents are matching and powerful.
Along with using the keywords in the html meta tags, you should also add the keywords in your page title. This will lighten fast action for your web pages’ ranking in a search engine.
If possible use the keyword contained sentence as your page’s header or use the keywords as the title of the contents.
After creating the keywords, you have to put keyword relevant content in the web pages because if the title matches the keywords but the content does not seems to focus on that, your site will rank lower. Consider the situation that you searched for ‘Science Fiction Books’ and after clicking a result, you were taken to a page where there are science related articles or products. Would you like to return to the same page again? Think it from your perspective, putting wrong content will stray your users from your website and consequently you may lose traffic.
Build inbound link to your website. The more visitors you will have in your website, the more your will rank high in the search engine results. (We will soon publish an article about how to build inbound links)
Because of the way most search engines work, they will index the other pages from your web site by following links from a page you submit to them. Sometimes they may miss a part but which is very important to you. So it’s a good idea to submit the most important two or three pages that best summarize your web site. If you do so, the indexing will be better.
Do not submit all the pages to the site because, doing so will lessen your search engine performance as well as the search engine may consider your actions as Search Engine Spamming and ban or remove your url from their listing.
